WordPress 3.0 Released

WordPress rolls out it’s major 13th release of the worlds most popular blogging platform last June 17, 2010 is now available for download or you can simply upgrade or update via your WordPress Dashboard, make sure and see to it that you’ve updated all necessary plug-ins and don’t forget to back up files and database settings.

The new release promises multi-site installations on the same domain, navigation and UI improvements and squashing of 1,217 bugs, I love the new lighter interface, template installation features I’m still looking for more.

WordPress 2.9.1 Released!

With over a million downloads of WordPress 2.9, WordPress 2.9.1 has been released to address some technical issues and bugs which caused problems with scheduling of posts and pingbacks. Unless you’re not experiencing other issues, there’s no need to upgrade, but before doing such upgrade be sure to back up first your database and other WordPress files to be safe, (keep your fingers crossed.. )
For those who have previously upgraded to WordPress 2.9 here are the new features you can try to visit it’s worth the read!.

Download WordPress 2.9.1 or you can use the automatic update feature within your WordPress admin Dashboard. Happy Blogging!

Upgraded to WordPress 2.8

Let’s give the people behind wordpress a round of applause!

After careful deliberations whether to upgrade or not, I finally made a tough decision and a move that will change how content management systems look, on a technical perspective.

I’ve been using other content management systems – joomla quite some time now, the piece of software is quite hard to master if you’re not a technically inclined person. But with wordpress everything is pretty simple and straight-forward. I’ve come to think that wordpress is for the masses, because not everybody knows how to code concluding it fit’s us all. Plain and simple easy administration, no minor hiccups.I did not imagine myself that someday or somehow wordpress will be part in my blogging diet.

I do appreciate how wordpress works the simplicity and non technical thingy got things done, no experience required,
getting gaga over it.

Content management systems are gradually evolving. WordPress is the next big thing! perhaps and the most big thing! because of it, I got myself three domains, namely: schoolsph.com, edunewsph.info and foodblogph.com and counting.

Soon, I’ll be recomending wordpress service to schools who are planning to setup their own web spaces. Right now I’m looking for themes paid, non-paid and sponsored ones.
